Steve Jobs – I’m going To Kill Android – And More

October 21st, 2011

So I was reading about this on BGR.com, here a few bullets from Job’s biography, and as much as I admire him this looks like BS and More BS…

“I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong,” Jobs said, according to Isaacson’s book. “I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product. I’m willing to go thermonuclear war on this.”

My Thoughts – Stolen from who? come one it might do the same thing in the end but it doesn’t look alike, as well if this is the case I think you stole from Microsoft and Palm…. (WM 6 looked like crap but did everything the basic iPhone does)

Jobs would later meet with Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt to discuss settling the lawsuit. That meeting, according to the book, did not go well. ”I don’t want your money,” Jobs is said to have told Schmidt. “If you offer me $5 billion, I won’t want it. I’ve got plenty of money. I want you to stop using our ideas in Android, that’s all I want.”

My Thoughts – Maybe Apple should stop stealing form their developers and other mobile OS’s (especially Android with iOS5) before he opens his mouth like that, when the first iPhone came out and all Cydia developers did amazing things with the iPhone apple simply stole from them even the GUI of iBooks was stolen!!! come on….

Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook has made clear his intention to continue running Apple as Jobs did, and it appears a major part of his legacy is the fight against Google’s actions with Android, which Jabs said amount to “grand theft.”

My Thoughts – Again another stupid comment, instead of vesting time against a Company that innovated put the money towards more innovation…. bottom line is WE the customer will get more out of it.

Samsung Note – My Dell Streak Replacement!!

September 6th, 2011

So after Dell Killed off my beloved Streak 5″ – Linky

Samsung come back and try to do the same thing with the ‘Note’
5.3″ Super AMOLED HD screen that supports pen input…. bla bla bla

The ‘Note’ has amassive 5.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus 1280 x 800 HD display.
Because the screen is so large, Samsung says it is enabled a number of native Android applications to operate in split-screen mode, allowing users to access two applications at the same time.
It also comes with Samsung S Pen software, which is similar to HTC’s Scribe software in that it lets users draw or write on the screen with a special pen, take screen shots, and input text.
It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz and includes Samsung’s new ChatOn messaging software.
Other features of the Samsung Note include a dual-core 1.4GHz processor; 8-megapixel main camera with autofocus, flash, and 1080p HD video capture; 2-megapixel user-facing camera for video chats; aGPS, NFC (carrier optional), Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi; and accelerometer, light sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, and barometer.
The Samsung Note has quad-band GSM/EDGE and quad-band 850/900/1900/2100 HSPA+ at 21Mbps.
Samsung said the device also includes LTE, but didn’t mention what spectrum the LTE radio operates in.
Samsung has also gone to great lengths to install plenty of business features on the Note.
Pricing and availability were not announced.
